Anyway, I wish you and Kirsty great luck in your endeavors. I tried NaNoWriMo years ago and only managed about 8,000 words but it was a really good exercise that created some interesting ideas I wouldn't have come up with otherwise.
Strangely enough, the novel I'm now working on recently hit the 50,000 word mark... though I've been writing that since January and I reckon I'm about a third of the way through ;)
